1. Open your dashboard
Sign in to the RustVision dashboard. If Rust+ is not connected, the dashboard shows the required setup steps and your current progress. Other sections open when both your token and server are connected.
2. Install RustVision Connect
Install RustVision Connect from the Chrome Web Store in the browser where you use the dashboard. After the Rust+ sign-in, the extension passes the authorization data to your dashboard. Click “I installed it” in the setup screen to check whether the extension is detected.
If the check cannot find the extension, reload the dashboard and make sure the extension is enabled in that browser.
3. Sign in to Rust+ with Steam
Use the Rust+ authorization button in your dashboard, or open the official Facepunch Rust+ sign-in page. Sign in with Steam. The extension captures the Rust+ token after login, and your dashboard shows the connection status.
If a previously connected Rust+ account stops sending data, repeat this sign-in. Reauthorization may be needed about every 14 days.
4. Pair a Rust server
Join the Rust server you want to track. Open Esc → Pair → Connect server in the game and confirm. Return to the dashboard: your paired server should appear in the server list. Select an active server to access the map, team, devices, and alerts.
If the server does not appear, check that the same Steam account is used for both Rust+ and the game, then pair the server again.
After connecting
- Choose which events should notify you in the Alerts section.
- Link Telegram in the dashboard to receive messages outside the game.
- Pair a smart alarm or switch in Rust+ to monitor devices from the dashboard.

Common questions
Do I need to leave Rust running?
No. After pairing, RustVision maintains its connection to the server. The server must support Rust+, and the device you want to use must be paired.
Why does my server not show up?
Check the Facepunch Rust+ sign-in, then pair the server again in Rust. Reload the dashboard after confirming.
Is the bot free?
Yes. The Rust+ connection, dashboard, and RustVision features are free. Supporting the project is optional.
